  1. My bible study groups had such high hopes for this study It supposes that it contains questions that pertain to the scriptural text as well as information from THREE different commentaries We were looking forward to some deep discussions on the work of the Apostles and the early church. The author missed the mark completely The book is 12 lessons long Lesson 1 and Lesson 12 are about getting ready to read Acts and then a reflection on what the book, respectively In between is a series of question [...]

  2. A useful support to our leading a Bible study group on the Book of Acts We used it in conjunction with two other similar study guides This was not as useful as others at it really didn t include much historic or socioeconomic information and I found it a little hard to follow Nevertheless, it was a useful study tool to support us.

  3. We are using this as a resource for an adult class filled mostly with people well versed in the Bible Presbyterians The abundant references and connections to other scripture passages are really insightful I ve been teaching for many years and I found this study to show Acts to be much richer theologically that I remembered The amount of reading required to cover the material in 12 weeks is not workable at least for us We ll probably take about 15 weeks.

  4. My study group is halfway through this study and absolutely love the balance of thought provoking insights and discussion leading questions I wasn t able to find a separate leader guide, but balance each chapter with insights from a bible commentary for enrichment.

  5. Did this study in a small group setting Loved it Set up had reasonable expectations for participants Loved the takes on Whole Bible perspectives, Gospel perspectives, and applications for living it out Gives a whole new light on the birth of the Christian movement.

  6. Loved getting to dive into the book of acts with these questions They are definitely questions that you can t just know off the top of your head Also make sure that your group or yourself wants a study that is very in depth and heavy theological as opposed to situational conversations because there aren t a lot of applications questions in the study.
