  1. The story line is well balanced and has a air of credibility to it, as if it could be true Keeping my attention as it did, makes me look forward to the next installment.I have already read other books by Lindsay Buroker, which set in the same space of the universe All fit together in their own time frame Events unfold in a understandable progression.I read as a simple excape from life, going to new places, looking for new adventures, and meeting new, and often strange , creatures. There are so ma [...]

  2. A great hole in a surely epic story has been filled nowwith the creation of this missing and much needed piece of the complicated puzzle A very intriguing saga with exceptional interesting characters is much complete.

  3. Well, classic Lindsay style, with wonderful everything Mysterious warrior, clumsy war mage, elements Lindsay wields to craft an intriguing opener More book next time please.

  4. A thought provoking story seen through the eyes of a boy becoming a man Although it takes place in another era, it could easily fit into our time I truly enjoyed this story.

  5. This book was very short and really didn t have much substance It drew me in but left so many questions and complete confusion Why write this story that opens a big world and just stop So confused

  6. Enjoyed the the characteres meeting each other how the respect for each other formed and the escape from the salt minds with the help of the prince

  7. I am not one who usually likes to backwards in my reading, and to be honest I probably would not have read this if I had realized that is what this book was Having said that I did enjoy reading about Yanko and discovering how he met Dak It was entertaining.

  8. Lindsay has created a great new world and interesting characters but this is really just an introduction Would rather see this marketed as a series as it is an expensive way to buy what is really just a part of a book I just love her writing so I guess this is going to be a expensive series to buy LOL I only rated it 3 stars because there just wasn t enough there to give me the usual level of satisfaction I get from her books.

  9. Linsay Buroker is an extremely talented writer, with great books that weave action plots with depth of characters And she does it independently, which is really brave Kudos to her
