  1. I enjoyed this story and thought that the author did a good job of capturing the character of the 4th doctor, the secondary characters were enjoyable, and I also liked how the narrative with its asides and observations almost had a Douglas Adams feel to it in places On the other hand, toward the end it felt like the author just sort of ran out room or time to finish the story she set up, and certain characters and situations are left hanging with no real resolution after a build up while a diffe [...]

  2. There is some promise to this story The story is interesting the secondary characters are interesting the setting is interestingbut the story and characters and setting just kind of stop Literally It just kind of ended like it was setting itself up for a sequel, but I don t get the feeling we re returning anytime soon. There are better tales I was hopeful for this one, though.

  3. A L Kennedy obviously enjoyed Doctor Who in the late 70 s Who hasn t enjoyed at least one bit of Tom Baker s humour in his time in the show This story is a good for this Doctor and hopefully it is the first of many in a series of past and modern Doctors adventures in the Time Trips stories.

  4. They need to write 4th Doctor stories He was my favorite Doctor growing up Especially since Tom Baker had that cameo in the 50th aniversery story This story was very funny and Iiked It s like Doctor Who meets Fawlty towers Write 4th doctor stories.

  5. This was supposed to be based on Tom Baker s interpretation of Dr Who but it just came off as his being a weirdo not in character The added alien wasn t realistic, I know this is a fantasy but especially fantasy needs to feel believable and this one sure didn t do that Was quite disappointed as am a Dr Who fan of long standing.

  6. Stayed in line with the Dr Who that I have grown to love I will order of A L Kennedy s books in the future.

  7. This book simply made me smile The author really got the personality of the fourth doctor to come through and it was wonderful Read it

  8. It feels a bit like an early Christmas present to have a new Fourth Doctor novel released right after Tom Baker s triumphant surprise return as the Doctor in the fiftieth anniversary episode. This isn t a full novel, however, but the start to a new series of novellas after the completion of the recent fiftieth anniversary series which featured a different incarnation of the Doctor, counting upwards, each month Hopefully this new series will follow a similar format even though it has begun with th [...]

  9. What with all that post anniversary comedown, some new Doctor Who was sorely needed to ease the pain A brand new Fourth Doctor novella from A.L Kennedy, you say That ll do nicely Especially following on from some brand new Tom in The Day of the DoctorOver 2013 I ve got used to a new e book coming out every month, so it s nice to continue this tradition with the new Time Trips series They re a bit longer and a bit cheaper than their predecessors and seem to feature Doctors in random order presuma [...]
