  1. These gray man books are hard for me to review I couldn t decide if it s a 1 star or a 4 star so I went with 2 WHY As far as realistic and possible they are right up there with the Wizard of Oz But nobody thought the W of O was trying to tell a tale that is physicaly possible on the earth as we know it The Gray Man, OTOH, seems to operate on OUR world so the physical laws do apply and people and machines have to function as the actually do.Our gray man starts out as the smartest, most capable, a [...]

  2. Please proof for homophones.Breaks brakesSheer shearEtc etcSpell check is NOT your friend. The scene with the mugger has a technical glitch Type is single action only, striker fired, blowback action semi automatic pocket pistol, with main safety only Not going to be a spoiler here, but the dramatic click would not happen.Too close to something the loser Lee Child would have with Reacher.Technical correctness is mostly very good other than that. This is the best plot so far, but work on subtlety, n [...]

  3. I discovered this series while browsing for books similar to the Jack Reacher series and have been addicted ever since In a nutshell, this is a novel series about a lone CIA operative specially trained as an assassin who goes off the grid to rid the world of bad guys At the same time he s doing this, he s dodging his own nation s elite group s kill on site sanction because of supposedly having committed an atrocity for which he didn t commit Now, he s set out to find out why and who put out the [...]

  4. This is the fourth in the Gray Man series of books five have been published so far I am reading them in order at the suggestion of a buddy of mine It has been very interesting to watch the author, Mark Greaney, evolve as a writer through the four books I have read He started the series out as pure action on top of action think 1970 s Mack Bolan and has been changing and improving his writing style with each book Not that the pure action was bad it was what it was, but now we have plots that are [...]

  5. I liked the series to date A story that unfolds progressively, good tension This book feels disjointed Dedeye appears on the scene in first third, and then the narrative takes a hard sidestep and feels like im starting the book again, with a slightly implausible plot line Whereas the others were page turners, this feels like the author could not quite decide where to go 4 books in might be using it as a stepping stone, but Im not sure.

  6. This book is about the psychopath Dead Eye than the Gray Man and it is certainly a page turner I still think the Gray Man wouldn t survive a day being the softie he is, and yet somehow his weakness over women and children is not fully exploited as it would be in real life I find it hard to believe he is the dangerous assassin Mark Greaney would have him be Makes a good read if you suspend belief.
