  1. I ve always said it takes three books to establish a series, and the fourth book to find its footing This series went wayward in book three Jack Noble lost any moral bearing he might have once possessed That escalated in book four Further, the author does not maintain continuity from one page to the next A character kills two and sends two to the hospital On the next page, his boss says four were killed A female character who owned a bar in books two and three has turned into a stripper in book [...]

  2. This one disappointed me so much. The Teaser, and the first three in the series did nothing but build the characters and leave me ready to click the purchase button immediately for the next in line, but Intentions 4 took me down so many needless paths and left me feeling ready for the end before the halfway mark of the book.Perhaps it could have been a two part series I don t know.It also makes a reader scratch their head at how a Operative , while blackballed on ALL FRONTS, can still manage to s [...]

  3. Noble Intentions, Season One Noble Book 4 Note the edit at the end I read the first 3 and enjoyed the books and the character development The situations are a bit far fetched and he seems to get into an incredible number of scrapes either deliberately or simply because he is careless, but he always gets out of the last one by some magic trick and slays his enemies My 1 Star review for this book is that he totally deviates from the characters he has already developed in Books 1 3 Noble s sometime [...]

  4. I found a sticky note with a list of titles or characters I was happy to find it and have new books to check out Now, I m annoyed with this unbelievable spoof of a hitman and his associates I have so many questions Why the profession change for Clarissa How is it that this badass hitman has several people sneak up on himALL THE TIME Why is it that this hitman drives obviously conspicuous cars Why is this hitman worried about phones being tracked, but stole and used someones GPS Why do all of the [...]

  5. Totally agree with WK s review I liked books 1 3 a lot But in book 4 something changed I m 30 % through the book and Noble seemed justified in his adventures in books 1 3, but, in book 4 I have a hard time getting behind a central character who puts a bullet in the back of a kneeling guy s head execution style in the first 20 pages Almost put the book down and dropped L.T Ryan, but will finish to see if I change my mind If you re going to build a character in a series, be somewhat consistent Fin [...]

  6. Having enjoyed The Thin Line I bought this with high expectations What a waste of money The flimsiest of plots, without any degree of cunning or twists and turns, was, in a word to wipe out person or persons unknown on behalf of person or persons unknown Because of its paucity, it was padded out with chance encounters with passers by who Jack wiped out or beat up simply because they annoyed him This gratuitous violence was subsequently excused by giving them an unsavoury reputation Some people o [...]

  7. As a fan of Lee Child s Jack Reacher books, I downloaded this expecting it to be on similar lines how wrong I was The story is basically about a mid thirties, ex US marine and his mate who have left the services and are now hired mercenaries assassins Now I may have watched far too many films and have an unrealistic expectation of how they work but my understanding is that their objective is to kill their target cleanly and professionally Unfortunately, that is not how Jack Noble and his sidekic [...]
