  1. Don t be fooled This is NOT the original version of the book It is edited or abridged, but whole paragraphs are left out The ISBN 13 on this book is 978 0 8499 1765 3, and it is a 2002 copyrighted book from Nelson I don t know why Nelson would feel the need to dumb down an already simple, brief and well written book, but they did.If you want the original version, look for copies which were copyrighted in 1983 by Hodder and Stoughton, or Word Books I m not sure if there are earlier editions, but [...]

  2. I was very disappointed in the size of these books I purchased two The hardback cover has the same beautiful image of the sheepdog but the condensed size is 4.5 x 6.5 inches on the outside The pages are even smaller and with the margins it is limited even I am not even sure it has the same content as the one I read years ago I so looked forward to their arrival but cannot read them My hand is bigger than the book I will keep them to give as a gift to a child I have treasured the story for years [...]

God, in His magnificent way, loves us so much He takes the time to teach us, using the simple, yet out of the ordinary things, to lovingly teach us of Himself I have experienced Him through my own petsunconditional love for one thing, yet so much That He cares to show us the simplicity of Himself, yet so profound in His ways is amazing to me This story made me smile at the things taught, the love shown, the forgiveness given, and the patience it allteaching anotherlearning from it ourselvesbeaut [...]

I can t think of anything I disliked about this book Mr Keller communicated concisely and clearly I identified throughout the book with the struggles of both man and dog Both my mind and my spirit were given priceless insights God used Mr Keller to help me understand how I might break free from places where I m stuck in my relationship with God No doubt I ll read it several times I ve already recommended it to my Sunday school class I ll continue to recommend it whenever an opportunity appears I [...]

  5. I love the flow of writing from this particular author It is like drinking a cold cup of water on a hot day, filled with clear profound truth in relation to our walk with The Shepard both as a sheep and as the loyal dog watching over those who are precious to YAHWEH I highly recommend this book to those like me, who sometimes balk at The MASTERS discipline My sister recommended this book to me and I m so happy that she did One of the most enjoyable books that I ve read The only issues that I see [...]

  6. Genuine glimpse into faithful love Consider God s handiwork in His creation and see the evidence of His love for us Because of His life, death and resurrection on the cross, He made it possible for us to live with Him whom we adore forever I have no doubt that the wages of sin is deathcause all things die But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord Lass nor her owner are alive today in our earthly form, but I have no doubt that they are with the Father today.

  7. This book was given to me as a gift a number of years ago I have read my copy several times and every time I do, God shows me something new that I hadn t seen before If you love dogs, the story is very moving and the allegorical truths are profound Phillip Keller does an excellent job of mining the gems found in this book and polishing them for all to see the parallels to our daily walk with God and the lessons He longs to impart to each of us Truly transforming

  8. Great little short read for Christian walking right with the Lord, or even an encouragement to someone who might be backsliding.

  9. A Shepherd and his Sheep Dog through many years of experience help you to investigate and question your own spiritual journey Phillip Keller and Lass surely must have touched many peoples lives through this book I can see why this book has been used for Bible study, and a book produced for children based on this book, called Lass is also recommended even if you have no children We are all children of God Well worth reading.

  10. I found the content of this book very insightful and touching I think many of us miss the lessons from God in our everyday surroundings.
