  1. Warm Moonlight is a nice little novella or rather a longish short story that I found on in one of my rare moments of strolling around on that site Joseph Wurtenbaugh writes under several names, as far as I can tell from his bio, and has several stories and novellas gathered together on the one page there.Warm Moonlight is a supernatural tale about an older woman who decides she needs to inspire her great granddaughter, who she can tell is going through a rough time She earns a living by writing [...]

  2. I didn t thought I would loved the story so much Although I feel it nostalgic it has also suspense, action, fantasy and adventure Somehow it takes unexpected turns and grows as life itself into new directions and what I thought at first would be about books and after that about the sea was completely different This book is very tactile, the descriptions make you travel in a very realistic way to another age, I ended it craving for.

  3. Jeannie s ocean going father tells her this when she is young Now it is time to tell her great grand daughter, a girl who has seemed to lose her way Jeanne tells a story of her young adulthood and reveals that she had made no mistakes that were irretrievable The story is a stand alone on it s own merit, but it also tells us about the paths that never end, now or ever This is a different story than the author s previous story The Old Soul, but I really enjoyed them both He has a light touch with [...]

  4. I bought this story because I had read the author s other work, The Old Soul , and was absolutely blown away by it by the unique take on science, how it was woven into a compelling story, and how it formed a story like I had never before read.In its own right, Warm Moonlight is a good story It s a very conventional story, though, so I couldn t help but be disappointed after the mind bending journey this same writer took me on before He set his own bar too high but I still highly recommend the au [...]

  5. I enjoyed this short story right up until the end It had a good deal of potential and kept my interest to see where it ended up But, the ending was a disappointment I once read a science fiction trilogy that I enjoyed the same way, and as the third volume wound down I looked forward to understanding the root cause of all that happened over the past thousand pages or so I was disappointed, as I was in the ending of this story it deserves.

  6. Nicely written morality tale The moralizing is a little heavy handed and goes on too long Mixed with a little biography and a ghost story, both fairly well done, set in the Great War, the Spanish Flu, and the early years of Prohibition for ambiance I don t like being preached at, so the pedantic portions spoiled the story for me, particularly at the end, when the author hammered the lesson into the ground just in case you didn t get it pages earlier.
