  1. I read one of the books out of order first, and loved it so much, that I went back and bought the entire series I couldn t stop reading them The first one starts kind of slow, but once I got into it, I didn t want to stop I hated having to put the books down for any reason and lost a lot of sleep, but it was worth it If you love a tough sheriff with a crew of tough, wacky crew members, and western atmosphere, this is the series for you My husband is reading them now, and he is loving them too.

  2. Cady s getting married and that s a problem because the wedding site she wants is not available Henry Standing Bear, who promised Cady that he d take care of it, has enlisted Sheriff Walt Longmire to find a suitable alternate location for his daughter s wedding Unfortunately, while scouting a promising site, Henry and Walt are witness to a Crow indian woman plunging to her death from a high cliff Was it suicide Was she pushed Or was it a tragic accidental fall I m going to forgive author Craig J [...]

  3. I have read most of the Longmire series and enjoyed them a great deal Johnson has a way with words that feels very genuine, especially his conversation between main characters I have noticed in this book and the previous one that he has tended to introduce many short scenes and sidebar conversions that don t add to the character development or the plot In fact, in this novel I would say some of the conversation and scenes were detrimental to the story A few scenes appeared gratuitous and some ju [...]

  4. Craig Johnson s Longmire series is comfortable to read He re uses the same basic characters in a manner that is not repetitive or boring His plots are never repetitive and have you rooting for the good guys and shivering when the bad guys get the upper hand The lay of the land should be familiar to those who have spent time in the Northwest High plains and mountains The mixtures of the Indian and White cultures should be well taken by those who live there If one is in a down mood and needs liter [...]

  5. Longmire the show is true to the books in the same way that Midsomer Murders is true to Caroline Graham s books the show captures the essence of the characters but takes liberties with plots, which keeps both formats fresh for viewers The deviations between Longmire the show and Longmire the book series continue to grow with each book this book widened that gap.On the show, Zahn McClarnon plays Mathias, the Cheyenne reservation Chief of Indian Tribal Police I personally like McClarnon, he choose [...]

  6. I am slowly rereading all my books about Walt Longmire written by Craig Johnson This is the latest one I have reread I loved it the first time loved it even the second Yes you could read this without reading the books preceding it but I think they are better read in order This book shows the friendship between Walt Henry as they try to organise Walt s daughter s wedding You get a great insight as well into the character of Walt as he tries to deal with the impending wedding wanting to help solve [...]

  7. Another page turner from Johnson Change of venue and verging on the mystic at times but the humour and the unique story telling is unsurpassed.
