  1. That i read these three books over and over all these years I have always loved the stories of anne rice Just wish she didn t find god and started to write stories about biblical stories She will always be the gothic queen in my eyes. But what to say If you love devilish vampires instead of sparkle brooding vampires then these books are for you Lestat the brat prince who never follow the rules or Louis the man who clung to humanity or Claudia the cursed 6 year old or even Armand who led the theat [...]

  2. As a HUGE fan of Interview I was already losing faith in The Vampire Lestat which started fantastic I love the steady back story and character development Then half way through she starts jumping all over the place and rambling on and on for chapters which some have nothing to do with Lestat It is entirely to long and I was hesitant to read the Queen of the Damned because of this. The book again jumps all over the place, has characters that have no reason to be in the book, rambling and unnecessa [...]

  3. The only thing disappointing about this book is the bottom It looks a little odd, kind of scuffed but who is seriously going to be looking at the bottom This copy is beautiful and the price is amazing Three books in a beautifully bound leather Yes, this is a steal And this font size is not bad Another reviewer had mentioned that there is a change of size with the font with each book It s not to terrible With the way they described the font size, I was sure i wouldn t be able to read it but in my [...]

  4. Anne Rice is a master at her craft You cannot go wrong reading everything that she has written. She weaves a tapestry of beauty and depth in all her tales In my opinion she is an American literaryicon Interview, the first story was epicep on reading She is the one that kicked off the vampire tale rejuvenation She alone floats above everyone else as the master.

  5. Anne Rice did the stupidest thing I ve ever seen a writer do In an early chapter of Queen Of The Damned, Rice reveals what happens to vampires when they dieSPOILER ALERTthey ascend to a kind of heavenly afterlife where they are reunited with their deceased mortal loved ones Just like regular mortals if you believe in that sort of thing So, Rice s vampires are not very remarkable after all More importantly, from a storytelling perspective, Rice effectively removes any reason for the reader to be [...]

  6. I love the three books as individuals but this was a let down The three books have been smashed into one large book but each book s print becomes smaller and smaller Interview is fine, Lestat s print is too small for me to read, and by the time you get to Queen of the Damned just forget it The print is so small for my old eyes I cannot read it I bought this book so that I could have larger print I have now bought them individually This is fine for my daughter, although she also says the change i [...]

  7. Beautiful book that I hope to keep in my collection for a long time One nice surprise when I received the book was the gold page edges Wasn t mentioned in the book s description but definitely a nice touch Also, the book cover is of a pewter color in real life and not as yellow as it looks online.

  8. 3 books in this one, I didn t pay attention but I found the remainder at my local library sale My collection is complete and I look forward to many years reading and re reading Anne is brilliant and Memnoch is my favorite of this series, so thought evoking and well fleshed out She is a master of vampire stories

  9. I find Anne Rice to be a wonderful writer with a complex series of books and characters, I love these books Vampire novels can often be quite childish perhaps to appeal to a younger audience and lacking however Anne Rice has completed a series that is adult in tone and highly complex and full of lore I did not enjoy either of the films as I felt they did not do Anne s work justice, however I would highly recomend reading this book Anyone who enjoys poetry will find stans writings that appear oft [...]

  10. Surprisingly good, I have up until now never read these books and I was recommended them by a friend at work and got this collection The first book took a little bit of getting into but once you do they will grab you, the first three books are here and they get better and better as you go on I recommend that you give them a try.
