  1. Our hero, A Shaw, is on the trail of the evil sadistic megalomaniac Nicholas Creel no, wait, it s Evan Waller this time Waller Creel is a hugely successful businessman in his 60 s with a contempt for weak people and thinks that the strong should rule the world, but still sees a place for going to church His one weakness is younger women, whom he ll enjoy for a while and then kill, or at least try to He is assisted by his loyal but weak aide, Dick Pender no, no, that s Alan Rice who fails him onc [...]

  2. 3. I have read 25 books by David Baldacci This book is 26 and the last book I plan to read by him When I started I loved books like Total Control and Zero Day I found the Camel Club series enjoyable Lately the books have crazy plots I won t say too much about this book as I don t want to give anything away to someone who is considering the book I have read 190 pages of this book and I have decided to just quit I can t stay engaged because the plot is so artificial with supposed sexual tension which [...]

  4. I m a long time David Baldacci reader I ve been hooked since reading The Winner I should have expected to love this book, but I had forgotten how great Baldacci weaves a story Anyway this book was full of twists and turns Full of the hooks that make reading a Baldacci novel so fun Now I m for sure going to get the Shaw number 1 book because I love this character He s the perfect real life super hero Understated greatness Reminds me a lot of the famous Jack Teacher character that I Love Anyway th [...]

  5. I have read many of Baldacci s books which I generally like better than this one I don t think the author liked this one very well either because he returned to the major theme of male versus female operatives first in competition and then in cooperation with each other in the Will Robie Jessica Reel series which I think he did it considerably better If you are considering this book and haven t read the Robie books buy them instead SPOILER I thought that the way both sides in this book toyed wit [...]

  6. I m a big Baldacci fan and enjoyed the first novel in this series So far, I m enjoying the second as well I m not going to search through these reviews to find out if anyone else has mentioned what I m going to mention, but honestly, David or David s editors do you have no idea of what military time is Never mind that folks like my dad NEVER said the letter O for zero I ve just had to give up on that But writing oh ten hundred is completely stupid You might write oh three hundred or oh nine hund [...]

  7. There is a mystery related to this book that I was unable to solve There are so many missing comas and I have searched for them everywhere I even checked at the end of the book to see if they had possibly fallen there I do not know whether the problem is in the process of setting up the Kindle version of the book, but if the editor or author does not have time to proof read what they are selling, I am not going to give the book a review that it qualifies for.

  8. From the first page to the last, Baldacci keeps you glued to the book Based on numerous real life events of Nazi hunters, this book lays bare the evil that has stalked parts of this world and the few who are not willing to forget but hunt down the evil and rid the world of it, once for all.The character of Kuchin may seem far fetched but we know that there are were a number of Kuchin s around

  9. I have read a large of the Reviews for this book, and I am amazed at how many Readers praise Baldacci but apparently appear not to realise it was COWRITTEN, and Baldacci is not the FIRST named One Reviewer even refers to the first book in the Series being co written and not as good, whereas the reality is the other way round Marks out of ten for Observation sadly is NIL

  10. A new series for me with so many character traits developing the story I have enjoyed the series and it is great reading about the characters, I have heard people complain about the stories being the same, and this is partially true the personas of the characters are similar in the books, but the roles are not there is a mixture across these books that makes each one lots of fun.Bottom line great book, try the series and enjoy
