  1. I am still reeling from that ending And sucker for a good ending that I am, this one earns an easy five stars it would likely have earned them anyway. It s hard to look at the book as a whole at the moment rather than just gush about that ending, and it is increasingly hard to review these without gushing in general about a bunch of spoiler material.Lord of Chaos, the sixth installment in the Wheel of Time I remain heavily immersed in this story and world Though it may take a little time to reall [...]

  2. I debated between 3 stars and 4 stars.I like reading about the big world, but sometimes it seems like the characters just move about from place to place just so the author can show off the big world that he created I imagine every location will have been visited by the time the entire series concludes. The story picked up in the second half of the book when some of the various storylines started to converge and characters reunited, which was fun.My biggest frustration continues to be with the cha [...]

  3. I struggled a bit between putting this at a 4 for 5 star rating Part of it is just how long the series is and some of the nitpicky things I catch get a tad annoying as the series moves on For its time and for the style of the writing it is a 5 star epic fantasy The length targets a certain audience who enjoy such series that focus on creating an entire mythopoeia I do think the story overall has the feel of an author who keeps finding gold to dig out of the story thus books to write This can be [...]

  4. We re up to book 6 now and the action does seem remarkably slower now Annoyingly, much of the book seems preoccupied with repeating information we already know, or what the women are wearing, or what has previously happened even if it was only a few chapters ago The brief action sequences are amazing The author seems to have very little confidence in the readers ability to keep up And in all fairness, towards the end I found it hard to remember all the names There are around 50 named characters [...]

  5. This is my second time of reading I read the hardcover version as it was released I note that some people are saying that the novels have quite a bit of recap, they must remember that the recap is there to remind people what happened previously, there were long gaps between each book being released and were quite useful.
