Photographer The ElvethamWedding at the Elvertham Helicopter

What an entrance!! The Bride and Groom arriving at The Elvetham Hotel in Hampshire in a helicopter- a stunning 19th Century mansion located near Reading and Basingstoke. You’ll see the Toast Master in the background waiting expectantly for the helicopter to land. It was a super way to start the reception at this rather wonderful hotel. The grounds and hotel are truly beautiful – definitely a top hat Wedding!

It's all about the cars...

A very grand Basildon Park – a country house situated just south of Goring-on-Thames and Streatley in Berkshire, between the villages of Upper Basildon and Lower Basildon. It is owned by the National Trust and is a Grade I listed building. As you can see here, the fabulous setting allows for very grand wedding photography – couple that with a Bentley and a glamorous couple and a blue sky…and I can get a picture post card shot like this!

Cain Manor Candle light Cain Manor wedding Venue Photographer Cain Manor

Gardens Cain Manor

BIJOU’S  Cain Manor is an exquisite Elizabethan oak-framed manor house near Farnham, Surrey. It is a stunning venue for a Wedding, particularly on such a lovely sunny summer’s day. How could I resist such an intimate and romantic shot in the candle light of the Inglenook fireplace. The lavender in the garden under the arbor made for a quiet moment for the bride and groom.

Royal Berkshire

It was a sunny but cold Winter Wedding at the Royal Berkshire Hotel. Great late afternoon sunshine provided the right romantic mood for this shot.

The Casa Hotel

The Casa Hotel is housed in a part 17th century building and set within its own large tranquil and rural surrounds in Yateley in Hampshire. This Wedding was very romantic, the couple clearly enjoying time on their own in the beautiful grounds. The Hotel has worked hard to have many great spots for taking beautiful wedding photos – the pagoda in the background and the steps in the foreground make it a photographers dream venue.

Dom Michael Vician (aged 28) made his Solemn Profession on January 5th after five years in the monastery. In a ceremony lasting more than two hours, Brother Michael lay prostrate on the sanctuary floor, covered with the funeral pall whilst the Litany of the Saints was chanted, a sign of his death to the world.

Farnbourgh Abbey

The Abbey Church is magnificent. It is a Grade One Listed Building, designed by the architect Gabriel Hippolyte Destailleur, who came to Farnborough after completing Waddesdon Manor for the Rothschild family in Buckinghamshire. Mgr Ronald Knox, who was received into the Catholic Church here, described it as ‘utterly, irreclaimably French.’ It is Gothic in style, with a renaissance dome reminiscent of that of Les Invalides in Paris. Numerous details of churches along the Loire are ‘quoted’ in the architecture.

Bishop

Bishop Philip Egan, the recently consecrated bishop of the Portsmouth Diocese in which the Abbey is located attended as a guest of the monks and spoke at the end of the Mass

Brother Michael lay prostrate on the sanctuary floor, covered with the funeral pall whilst the Litany of the Saints was chanted, a sign of his death to the world. He then sang the three-fold Suscipe me Domine chant (uphold me, Lord, according to your promise, and I shall live…), read his chart of profession, was clothed, in accordance with ancient custom, in the Benedictine cowl and presented with the Antiphonale Monasticum as a sign that he should ‘put nothing before the Work of God’.
